Hi, I am from Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
I am married to Mena Johnston for the past 34 years.
I have just retired from CIBC Asset Management where I was an equity trader for over 21 years. Before that I worked as a trader on the Montreal Stock exchange.
I currently curl at the Pointe Claire Curling Club. I have been there for 23 years.
I have served on the Pointe Claire CC Board of Directors in many capacities such as Membership, Advertising and Sponsorship. I am currently on the Board as Member at Large doing different projects. I am also on the board of our 100th anniversary committee which we will celebrate in 2021.
Last year I was head of the committee that raised funds for new curling rocks that arrived in 2017.
I also assist the match committee in organizing different events at the club.
I am Co-Chair of the Kurling for Kids organization at Pointe Claire CC. We along with 11 other curling clubs in the Montreal area raise funds for the 2 Children’s hospitals in Montreal. We have raised over 2 million dollars over the last 20 years.
I was on the board of The BBB foundation which raised funds for many causes.
I was also involved in the Traders, Intuitional and Canadian traders association when I was working. We organized education and social events for our members. At the same time I was President of the Financial Baseball league.
In the summer I enjoy Golf and Dragon Boating.
